Ryobi 40V Brushless Mower

Alright, so this is probably the most “old man, dad” thing I’ve ever done. I researched for like 2 weeks straight about lawn mowers and finally settled on the Ryobi 40V system.

To start off with, there are SO many kinds of electric mowers. I decided to roll with Ryobi simply because it’s a brand that I’m familiar with, and if anything goes wrong Home Depot supports them. When I finally settled on the brand, I had to decide which model was best for me.

I went with a self propelled brushless motor lawn mower. Honestly, it’s pretty awesome. It has the same power as my old trusty Toro lawn mower. It cuts nice and even with no bog down at all.

My Choice!

The very first time I used it, my grass was about 4-5 inches high and wet from the night before. It had no problem cutting it at all. Best of all, a fully charged battery only drained about half way before I finished my yard. (I live in a pretty small standard sized yard)

One goofy thing about it is that it NEEDS to have the bag on it to work. There is a separate attachment you can BUY if you want to spit out/mulch the grass, but either way you’re gonna need one of those connected for the mower to work.

$45 Mulcher Attachment

I will say that the bag actually does a great job of holding grass, and it fills almost all the way up before you need to empty it. It’s one of the better bagging experiences I’ve ever had.

This mower is legit! Don’t even get me started on the weed eater! It uses the same battery as the mower. I’ll let you just watch the video below and judge for yourself!
